Cat7 is an experimental underwear brand that transforms everyday essentials into immersive, narrative-driven art. Inspired by the underground rave scene in Hong Kong, Cat7 explores the flow state: a moment of complete mental immersion where identity, time, and inhibition dissolve into pure expression.
Rooted in the duality of chaos and calm, the brand unfolds across two conceptual lines: the Athletic Line, representing obsession, energy, and ecstasy, and the Comfort Line, embodying softness, recovery, and rebirth.
Each release is paired with visual storytelling: videos, music, and evolving graphics—that deepen the emotional experience behind the garment.
Cat7 isn’t just about what you wear, it’s about how you feel when you lose yourself in the rhythm of life. It’s fashion as movement, mood, and metamorphosis.
Domestic cat embodying the Comfort Line, and the tiger representing the Athletic Line.
It illustrates a fluid transformation: from stillness to speed, softness to ferocity, comfort to obsession.
This isn’t just an image. It’s a reminder that within calm lies intensity, and within chaos, a return to calm. A cycle. A becoming.
Set in red and violet, with the tiger as its emblem, each shot captures motion, obsession, and the raw energy of the flow state. This is not just activewearit’s a trance in motion.
The bodies are blurred, hair flies, lights flash—this is the moment the beat takes over. The garments aren’t modeled; they’re lived in, danced in, lost in.
This is the trance. This is the fall. This is CAT7.
Part I – The Fall
Set in a red, glitching haze, the first video captures the descent into the flow state. It's fast, frantic, and raw—where bodies blur, boundaries dissolve, and the trance takes over. This is the Athletic Line in motion: impulsive, chaotic, and all-consuming.
Part II – The Rebirth
Bathed in white light and slowed into dreamlike stillness, the second video opens in the aftermath. Two figures lie in a surreal, weightless space—between life and dream, body and spirit. This is the Comfort Line—soft, reflective, and suspended in ambiguity.
Shot in soft daylight and quiet shadows, the Comfort Line Lookbook captures the calm that follows collapse. Loose, breathable fabrics hold the body in rest—moments of peace, reflection, and return.
This isn’t performance—it’s presence. A visual exhale. A quiet rebirth.
CAT7 was never just a clothing brand—it was an art project. I approached marketing as a form of storytelling, intentionally abstract and emotionally driven. The goal wasn’t to explain, but to evoke. Even if the audience didn’t fully understand the narrative, they understood the feeling—and that meant everything.
By taking an experimental, niche-driven approach, I connected with a specific audience that truly resonated with the vision. The feedback I received—raw, honest, and thoughtful—reinforced the idea that bold, emotional branding can build deep, authentic connections.
Beyond the creative, this journey taught me so much. I gained hands-on experience in marketing strategy, creative direction, and brand storytelling. I learned what it takes to launch a business—from coordinating photoshoots and designing collections, to negotiating with manufacturers, managing production timelines, and making real-world decisions that shaped the brand.
CAT7 showed me how art, business, and emotion can collide—and how powerful that collision can be
